« Back to listingsThe heroines peopling Amanda Quick’s books have inspired my next novel. Quick takes us to England late in the reign of Queen Victoria. Fog, hansom cabs, and street sweepers; gentlemen with courtly manners and those from the underworld combine to create an atmosphere which lures you further in the book. The women have either invented professions or made good use of their skills in a non-traditional manner. It’s quite a refreshing change from damsels in distress! Perfect Poison is a case in point.
Jayne Ann Krentz’ persona is in the contemporary world; Jayne Castle’s world is that of Harmony and a time far in the future.
